Conquest Stables wins two awards at the 2015 Sovereign Awards!

April 20, 2015

AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, MARVELOUS- The 40th Annual Sovereign Awards Ceremony was all that and more!

Friday, April 10th, we attended the Sovereign Awards banquet, presented by The Jockey Club of Canada and Woodbine Entertainment Group, at theWoodbine Racetrack facilities in Toronto, Canada. The beautifully decorated room was filled with Canadian Thoroughbred Racing VIPs, and elite members of the Canadian press. It was a truly elegant affair, with great food, warm smiles and well done media presentations. We met up with old friends, made new ones, put faces with names we have known for a while, and had a delightful evening. We had been honored with nominations in three categories, and we are excited to report that we came away with two awards! 2014 Champion Two-Year-Old Filly, won by Conquest Harlanate, and 2014 Champion Two-Year-Old Colt, won by Conquest Typhoon!

Our excitement also extends to our great trainer and friend, Mark Casse, who won 2014 Outstanding Trainer, and to our wonderful friend Patrick Husbands who won 2014 Outstanding Jockey! Hearty CONGRATULATIONS to all the nominees and winners! Thoroughbred horse racing in Canada is just getting better and better!

These awards are truly meaningful to us, and we thank all the people who voted for us. Your confidence inspires us! We also thank all the people who have a part in our success… trainers, jockeys and all of the other dedicated people who work alongside and with our horses in behind the scenes capacities. We could not be prouder, and we hope to make you proud of us going forward!
